Fish and Chips - Step 1 - The Fries


All Great Fish & Chip Joints have 1 thing in common. They have great fries to go along with Great Fish. Pass on the Frozen Fries and Cut up some Fresh Ones. You'll Like what you taste.

Ingredients:
Small Package of Shortening 454g or 1 lb
2 Medium Russet Potatoes
Salt & Pepper

Directions:
1. Wash Potatoes and Cut into preferred shape, I Cut Mine into Wedges. 
2. Using a Large Dutch Oven, Melt the Shortening over medium heat. 
3. Once Shortening is melted and up to a medium temperature add the home Fries. 
4. Cook Until Preferred doneness.
5. Remove with slotted spoon and place on paper towel to dry.
6. Add a Little Salt and Pepper (optional)
7. Use the same Shortening for Part 2 - The Fish
